Hello Kevin. Just discovered this link today as i was expecting some news from you on DSG boards. Hope everything’s well.

I can understand that after 10 years, it’s important to make a pause. I am not yet in this situation but i am certain it will come one day.

Again, regardless of the job the trooper performs, they are STORMTROOPERS. Not Marines. Not Green Berets. Not Rangers.

The clones had Marines, true, but I’m not talking about Clones. Their time has passed according to the official timeline of SWG.

I would argue that the troopers who boarded the Tantive IV in a blaze of “white armored hell” as you so succinctly put it, Thirteen, would be the equivalent of Marines stationed on board a fighting ship of the Navy.

Regardless, I agree generally. Troopers are line grunts.

The changes they’ve made are really just more additions to the game overall. Most are cosmetic type things, really. But, there are a couple new ships and they finally added the sandtrooper back and DLT-19 (MG-34) to the game, which is about damned time. Also worthy of note is the addition of a “Deathtroopers” instance into the planet of Dathomir. Zombies in the SW Universe. Why not. Pfft. I have very little real issue with the game itself… Just the pure arrogance and elitism of the majority of the RP community…. Although, I shouldn’t be at all suprised by it, really. Regardless of the server, you’ll always have this problem, I fear.

The Holiday Special was never part of the Imperial docturine. We had nothing to do with that, as evident by the big fat cheesy mustaches the Imperials had. Uniform regs specify that facial hair will not exceed the corners of the mouth. Period. That should have been the first clue that this was a Rebel Propaganda piece.

Jefferson Starship/Airplane should have been the second.

Now that you have back up arriving to help mop up, I’m sure the Empire would like for you to issue a statement to the citizens about the Republic torture device some of us call the special which cannot be spoken of in public for fear of being forced to view it while being interrogated by the Rebels and that this is something the Emperor and Lord Vader have no use for since there are people out there who think the Empire is behind it.
